zero point

The score for Zero Point, a short film written and directed by Hank Isaac, was heavily inspired by late-1940s B-Movie horror films, as well as The Twilight Zone.

Young Max and his nanny, Jenny, find themselves trapped in an old mansion where its owner, Dr. Vallerian, has accidentally opened up a portal to another world.

The dark swells in “open house (two enter)” became the breath and the voice of the house itself. A passive yet unrelenting darkness that sits in the background.

There are also subtle backwards flourishes that occur in a few different tracks. In the film, these happen whenever an object moves through spacetime.
