MENU: An Homage to Game Title Themes was an awesome remix album I got to be a part of with Materia Collective. The goal of the album was to “encapsulate the feeling when you first played a game … and falling in love with it.”
My favorite game as a kid was Myst, so I submitted a proposal to do a remix of the main theme but in the style of the intro music for Stranger Things. I’ve always felt like the Myst games had so much mystery and intrigue that they would do well in today’s TV golden age. This remix (track #41) makes it easy to imagine such a title sequence.
